The Child Care Centers unique setting and small size allow our children to learn about the world around them from the security of a warm, intimate base. We strive to offer stimulating, developmental opportunities that enable our children to build a body of knowledge and important life skills such as group problem solving and creative thinking. We take pride in our trained and caring staff, low staff turnover, and low child-to-teacher ratio. Our curriculum follows the developmentally appropriate practices of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and is fully accredited. We take pride in our trained and caring staff, low staff turnover, and low child-to-teacher ratio. Our curriculum follows the developmentally appropriate practices of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and is fully accredited. At the very core of all these activities is the belief that we serve our children best by working closely with families and our community. When parents and early educators work together, children have the best opportunity to grow as independent, creative, productive and happy individuals. We partner with families to create an accepting environment that nurtures each childs sense of security and positive self-esteem. Our philosophy permeates all that we do, making the Child Care Center at Christ Church a wonderful place to grow. |

The Child Care Center at Christ Church is recognized by NAEYC (the National Association for the Education of Young Children) as a nationally accredited child care program. The center for Toddler and Pre-Kindergarten children is located in the educational wing of Christ Episcopal Church in a quiet residential neighborhood. This facility has four developmentally appropriate classrooms designed purposefully to meet each child’s individual needs. Adjacent to the classrooms is a very large indoor play space, quiet activity room and large motor room (indoor playground). A shaded, fenced in outdoor playground area is well equipped and is next to the church.
The center for Infants is located one block away at 110 E. First Street. This infant center is also specifically designed to meet the needs of children six weeks to 18 months. It is in a quiet, private setting with a large play area and large sleeping area. A fenced in outdoor play area is also provided adjacent to the classroom with age appropriate play space equipment. |
